We’ve all heard that one guy say it again and again…
“The best customer is a repeat customer.”
Sure. That sounds awesome. But you’ve probably spent so much time getting them to buy that first thing that it’s hard to think of how to sell them on anything else.
Not that you don’t have other stuff to sell or affiliate stuff to promo, but who has the time to map out all that strategy?
Enter client/student-only groups.
Whether on Facebook, Slack, or some other slick technology...these groups help you create selling opportunities over and over again because they
✨ Build maximum know-like-trust factor by creating a safe space for you + your people
✨ Give your folks a more VIP/special feeling about themselves
✨ Offer up the best market research available by putting all the people you know are buying in one place
This is the right offer for you if you’re feeling a little womp-womp about groups.
... you’ve had a group or two and the engagement was, well, less than desirable.
... Or you feel like your business lacks that sense of community it needs to go to the next level but the idea of running a group sounds taxing and unpleasant.
For the most part, you’re absolutely right.
Running a group can be a bit of a science. Luckily, I’ve done all the experimenting for you and know exactly what kind of group to create. And how to turn it into a playground where you and your clients + students see massive success!
Here’s what’s inside:
Find out the different types of groups, why client/students specifically stand out above the crowd, and take a look inside mine to see how it came to be.
Get ready to hit GO! Inside we’ll walk through how to get your group off the ground, who to invite, how to make sure students know about it, and how to grow!
With workbook in hand (on computer?), you’ll start planning your group with me as we cover your rules, joining questions, how to welcome folks, and what promo should look like.
You don’t want to go through all this trouble unless it’s going to be great. So let’s chat about engagement, moderating, what to post, and how to decide what goes where. You’ll even find a library of example posts in this module to help you get started and see all of this in action.
It wouldn’t be a Lizzy offer without some extra good stuff. Here you’ll find how the group fits into your wider business ecosystem/playground, how to turn a free group into paid, my thoughts on why big names shut down their groups, and more!
I’ve been doing the online business thing since 2015. But in 2018, my wife and I opened Team EBG’s Party Pad; our Facebook group exclusively for customers, clients, and extra special friends.
What started as a fun little project has become the heart of my business (with over 3,100 members!)
I can’t wait to show you how to do it, too. 😍
You’re both curious. I love that.
Here’s a little FAQ for you…
What if I don’t have any clients/students yet?
Perfect! As long as you’re planning on selling digital products, courses, or 1-to-many offers soon, then this training is really going to help you hit the ground running. We’ve both heard that the best customer is a repeat customer so this is going to set you up for success in that area.
Having a client/student-only group right from the start gives you a built-in system for nurturing relationships with your people immediately instead of just leaving them in a post-purchase limbo. This is going to help you stand out from other sellers like you and create deep, long-lasting relationships with your customers!
I already have a free group. Or one for my paid course/membership. Should I change it? Close it? Tell me!
I’ll be covering this in detail inside the course. There are different options, but don’t stress! It’s my job to help you discover the right one for you and your business.
What if I just hate Facebook, Lizzy?
This course is absolutely not just about Facebook groups. Whilst I’ve only ever run a client/student-only Facebook group, nearly everything I’ll be teaching is transferable to other platforms such as Slack or Circle.
I’m not sure I have enough paid students/clients to start a group like this.
I hear this all the time! Don’t overthink this. The success you have will be around how you show up and engage with your folks, not some weird perfect number some lady on the internet (me) tells you to have.
Inside the course, we’ll talk more in depth about this and I’ll give you some strategies to implement before you launch your group to grow your student numbers for the launch.
I only sell 1:1 stuff. Is this something I should buy?
Probably not, unless you have a very high number of clients. This course is best suited if you sell (or plan to sell) digital products, courses, or 1-to-many offers alongside your services.
What if I don’t learn anything new?
I won’t punish you for being awesome! If you take a proper look through the course and feel like you didn’t learn anything new or useful for your business, let me know within 7 days of purchase and I'll refund you. Please note this refund policy does not cover a change of mind. If you request a refund we will ask you for feedback on how the course didn't meet your expectations so we can improve our marketing messaging in future.
I’ve got another question.
Send me a message using the chat box at the right bottom corner of this page, and let’s chat!

I'm Michelle Pontvert, or Pontvert if the French accent is too tricky, and I'm a Squarespace website designer. I work with service providers and course creators to create and uplevel their websites.
I created my client and student only Facebook group about nine months ago, as part of expanding my business into some more DIY resources. It has been a really lovely way to basically continue to engage my audience beyond just my email list. But I also sort of subsequently found it a really nice way to continue supporting clients after they've purchased something from me.
I've seen sort of nice uptick of people continuing to engage and swirl around in my world and purchase other offers. I think sort of nurturing them in that slightly more close contact way that the client/student-only group provides has been a big part of seeing that change.
I also found this a really helpful little bonus thing to add to add a bit more value to create a little bit more perceived value in my offerings. And, particularly as I've been working on growing my audience participating in summits and bundles, it's been a really lovely way to engage that audience who've technically joined my world for free, but with a product that normally would be paid. And having that slightly closer knit community has really helped build that audience into something a bit more real and a little bit more engaged. So I've really loved it from that perspective.
Over the nine months, I've grown my group to be about 180 people. And it's a mix of people from high ticket offers, medium, and then people who've joined from being part of summits and bundles and things. And it's something I'm really glad I added to my business. I was a bit nervous at first that I was going to create this new source of work to maintain this group and have to be constantly in there engaging, creating a bunch of extra content. But I've actually found, thanks to Lizzy's course, there's a lot of really low effort ways to still feel engaged and still create engagement within that group that don't require me to create a whole bunch of extra content. Definitely a side of repurposing anything I'm creating for a blog or a podcast or my other posts that I'm creating content, and then go either get deeper, offer another bit of insight and then create some more engaging conversation-starting posts. So that's been a pleasant surprise that it was actually not that high maintenance of a thing to add, and I think the value from that group is well worth the extra effort. So I definitely encourage particularly if you're concerned about time investment and energy investment in creating a client/student-only group - it's easier than you think. And thanks to Lizzy's approach, I think it is something that definitely pays off.
By the end of this course, you’ll have a solid plan for launching a client/student-only group and all the know-how on how to engage, grow, and make money from it.
