Some of the membership āexpertsā are so focused on the open-closed membership model they outright dismiss any alternatives.
But it's not that black + white.
They make it sound like closed membership models don't work.
But that's just their opinion. It's not a universal fact.
I believe that an always-open membership is the better option for some most businesses.
So, let me present an alternative to the open/close membership.
Hereās what weāll cover in this training:

These testimonials are both from when I originally launched this as a bonus to something else, and since it has been available as a standalone course.
"After this training I feel really good. I have new ideas and am clear on some next steps I was feeling stuck on.
[Strategy #5] was genius!! The way it is framed feels really good. Thank you!"
Cheri Yazzie
"I've never loved marketing anything. I want to create and be left alone!
The strategies in this training feel accessible to me. I really don't like launches and I like that all the ideas in here are NOT launching but they're also not super involved.
My favorite part of the training was the ideas. I've had a membership for about a year now and I've kept it small because I don't announce it much. I'm ready to start welcoming more people in so these ideas were great!"

"I've had my membership open since I launched it, but had been on the fence about closing it because that's often recommended. After going through the course I feel better about my choice to keep it open. I think it's the right fit for my membership content, and I now feel even better about marketing it actively.
Even though people often say you need to have urgency and launches, I knew in my heart that my membership was better suited to being always-open."
Danielle Doucette
"Marketing has been one of the biggest things I have been trying to tackle with my membership. I didn't really know the best way to market my membership. After taking this training I'm so excited to implement these strategies. I think these are going to be so helpful and get more eyes on my membership. I really loved how simple and straightforward the training was and how easy it was to understand.
I think my biggest takeaway was how having an always open membership can consistently bring in new members. I was thinking I would always have to launch it, but this is going to be so much easier. This is a great simple and effective training to implement and put in place right away. This training will take away any fear about having an always open membership and the marketing that comes with it."
Deidre Johnson
"Before this training I was stressed out about feeling like I needed to launch all the time. Now I've realized all the places I could be passively promoting, that have not been happening. Now that I can see the gaps, I can start to fill them."
Isabel Pinaud
"I used to have my membership as always open, but I didn't promote it well. Then I made it closed with quarterly openings, and it was frustrating dealing with a waitlist and having huge gaps in time between purchases. Now I'm confident I can make it work as an always-open membership - with proper marketing! I'm feeling hopeful and excited.
All the strategies are great, especially [Strategy #2] (my new favorite thing!), [Strategy #5], and [Strategy #10]."
Sage Grayson
"Before this course I felt like the only thing I could do to find new members was to either pay for advertising (not really something I wanted to do for a new membership) or only sell it through email. Now I feel like I now have so many great ideas that I can use to help build in that steady trickle of new members.
I loved the private podcast feed. I re-listened to the training every night for three nights in a row as I was trying to get my little girl to sleep at night. I feel like this really helped to solidify and confirm the ideas that I wanted to implement with my membership marketing.
This course is a must for anyone looking for "out of the box" strategies on how to get new members."
Alicia Rafiei
"Before this training my membership hadn't launched yet and was still in the planning stages. I had many unanswered questions about marketing a new product. Now my questions have been answered and I feel more confident about the next steps I need to take.
My biggest take-away was the marketing ideas. [Strategy #2] is totally new to me but something I will be implementing!
It was jargon free and realistic! I also don't like when trainers dictate that this is the only way to do things, but ideas and suggestions that have been tested and work really help me to visualise what could work for me."

Even though I love memberships, I shut mine down towards the end of 2020 after running it for over four years.
After adopting our 2 girls, my business changed a lot. Add the mayhem of 2020 without childcare and it became increasingly difficult to provide the speed or level of support Iād always prided myself on, so it was time to say close the doors for good.
That said, I still believe that membership with a specific outcome can be incredibly valuable for both you as a business owner and your clients ā thereās a reason I'm in a bunch of them!
I love having an always-open membership for all the reasons listed above. If those reasons speak to you, come join us inside Simple Marketing for Always-Open Memberships.
Will this help me plan and launch a new membership?
No, this particular course doesn't teach about running a membership, or membership strategy - it's solely about getting more members into an always-open membership using a range of different strategies.
I don't have any trainings on broader membership strategy, mostly because I recommend joining Membership Academy (affiliate link).
Will this help me decide if I should have my membership always open or just open doors a few times a year?
Absolutely! We cover the 3 main types of membership models and the pros/cons of each to help you decide which will work best for your business and goals.
Am I going to have to use fake countdown timers and false urgency?
Thereās a whole lesson called āBut what about urgency? No-one will join?!ā to calm your urgency fears!
You donāt need urgency to sell your membership. The vast majority (10) of the 12 strategies I teach in this course arenāt urgency-based.
I've been running a membership for ages - will I learn anything new?
Probably. But I'd flip this around and ask what would one new idea/strategy be worth to you?
Here's what Samantha said: "I've been running my membership for a year and thought I had it on lock. However, this course gave me at least 3 new ideas or areas I could improve to better share about my membership."
and Michelle: "No matter how successful your membership currently is, you will learn something new from this training to help get even more people in your membership."
This training title feels familiar - did you sell it before?
I originally recorded this live in 2019 as a bonus training for people who joined Membership Academy through my affiliate link. The training recording was quietly available at other times, but it's now been fully course-ifed and I'm hyped to share it with membership owners near and far!
There is only one version of this training. Please do not purchase again if you already have access.
What if I don't like the training?
If you take a proper look through the training and feel like you didnāt learn anything new or useful for your business, let me know within 7 days of purchase and I'll refund you. Please note this refund policy does not cover a change of mind. If you request a refund we will ask you for feedback on how the course didn't meet your expectations so we can improve our marketing messaging in future.
